The Story

The Equilibrium Equi-Chaps Close Contact Chaps are a turnout boot for mud fever prevention, designed to keep horse's legs dry and mud free. It is important that the Close Contact Chaps fit the horse snugly so that mud doesn’t rise under the boots and cause irritation to the skin, however, they can be worn for up to 12 hours with minimum risk of rubbing as they are so flexible, soft, and breathable. Made from perforated neoprene with 4-way stretch to fit like a second skin.  The Close Contact Chaps are easy to wash and quick to dry.

Can be worn on the front or hind legs as required.

As the Close Contact Turnout Boots are made from perforated neoprene, they are not suitable for horses or ponies with a neoprene allergy.

Features:

  • Extend from below the knee/hock to the coronet band for maximum coverage
  • Help protect against mud, wet, and cold
  • Made from perforated, breathable neoprene
  • Four-way stretch for a close, flexible fit
  • Lightweight design allows free movement
  • Provide light protection against brushing and overreach injuries
  • Supplied in pairs

Ideal For Owners Who Want To:

  • Keep legs clean in the field
  • Protect against mud and wet
  • Provide breathable, gentle protection
  • Save time during winter routines
